What technique do you use to create your quilts?
To create the figures, I use a method of fusible raw-edged appliqué. I have more control with it, and I am able to use very tiny pieces of fabric for details in the face, like eyes. For other areas, I use machine appliqué.
Are your quilts made with just the fusible technique?
No, I also use conventional methods like machine piecing and appliqué, and many times I us paint as well.
Are your quilts hand or machine quilted?
I’m strictly a machine quilter. Hand quilting is just not my thing. I tend to bleed on everything I try to hand quilt. So I will stick to machine work.
Do you only do pictorial work?
No. I also make abstract pieces. I like to combine pictorial and abstract as part of my design.
Do you sell any of your work?
Some quilts are available for purchase. Please E-mail me for details and pricing.
What brand of sewing machine do you use?
I’m in love with my Bernina 160. It does what I want it to do without protest, even through multiple layers of fabric and fusible web.
